FirstNet Project
Top Sector Communications, LLC. is part of the AT&T/Emergency Response project known as FirstNet (Band 14)
In 2017, AT&T was contracted by the United States Government to build and maintain a communications network for first responders, including police, firefighters, and emergency medical services. The purpose of the FirstNet service is to provide a modern voice and data network that allows seamless communications between services and does not become overloaded during large-scale emergency situations. FirstNet users will have priority network access during times of peak demand using dedicated FirstNet handsets. The FirstNet network uses standard LTE bandwidths and protocols in a new block of frequency spectrum. AT&T’s commercial LTE network is located in band 17, and the downlink occupies 734 MHz to 746 MHz. The band allocated for the FirstNet downlink is 758 MHz to 768 MHz and the uplink is 788 MHz to 798 MHz. These spectrum allocations lie adjacent to other commercial LTE networks from Verizon and T-Mobile. Top Sector provides the most experienced and well-trained crews to ensure each construction build not only stands out for its level of quality but is also PIM Free, otherwise the new FirstNet system and existing commercial LTE networks will experience a rise in the RF noise floor and consequent degradation of network performance creating potential interference for its users.
PIM Mitigation Project
Top Sector Communications, LLC. is part of the AT&TPIM Mitigation solution project.
Adding new networks into the already crowded frequency plan creates significant challenges for network performance. The uplinks of all cellular networks are very vulnerable to passive intermodulation (PIM) products. PIM occurs when RF signal components generate two or more signals that pass through any non-linear device that acts as a diode and generates intermodulation products. Top Sector Communications works with its customers mitigating RF interference ensuring that all providers have top-notch cellular service. While this affects the FNET and LTE band 14 and 17 greatly, it also affects additional carriers and frequencies. Top Sector provides highly trained technicians to work directly with field engineers in a resolution to provide exceptional cell service to all major carriers and their customers. Performing both 1-port and 2-port testing to pinpoint the issue and putting a plan together to resolve.
Anchor and Excalibur Project
Top Sector Communications, LLC. is a part of the T-Mobile and Sprint merge.
Providing skilled and competently trained professional crews to ensure that the services provided are above and beyond expectations. T-Mobile has begun the consolidation to provide a 5G solution to its valued customers with plans to compete with all additional carriers. Our crews are working to upgrade all power sources and networks alongside T-Mobile. This work consists of removing existing 3G-4G equipment and upgrading equipment that is 5G advanced partaking in today’s technology. Our crews are experienced with both the Nokia and Ericsson equipment that the customer has provided for this project. Ericsson will expand and enhance T-Mobile’s 5G footprint by supplying equipment and software to the markets. This includes active and passive antennas, providing T-Mobile with support across its entire spectrum portfolio for the best 5G experience and cost-efficiency – low-band for far and wide coverage indoors and outside, complemented by Massive MIMO capacity over mid-bands and high-bands for blazing-fast speeds and lowest latencies, providing an expanded foundation for a rapid 5G use-case evolution. Ericsson technology and Top Sector Communication crews will help T-Mobile develop and implement 5G and improve 5G spectral efficiency. T-Mobile’s 5G buildout also includes 5G Standalone (SA) architecture, voice-over new radio (VoNR), New Radio (NR) carrier aggregation, network slicing, and multi-user massive MIMO.

Top Sector Communications, LLC. assist its customers in bringing the network into new areas, ensuring the carriers are providing customers with an upgraded service that can and will surpass the next. From bringing fiber to the cell site to installing the steel and equipment onto the newly leased area on the tower. We provide services from the ground up. This includes trenching, conduit and cable installation, disconnect and meter panel installation, concrete work, WIC, WUC, Shelter, and/or Cabinet installation, Generator Installation and wiring, followed by Power/Fiber/Hybrid, Steel, and equipment installation. Our team is certified, trained, and experienced in each trade, allowing for a fully operational product upon services complete.
